1. Acceptance and scope
By using DevHub, you agree to follow these terms and the related Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, stop using the service. A feature may present additional terms before you take a specific action.
Document status: these are product-operating terms in draft form and require professional legal review before being treated as final legal wording.
2. What DevHub provides
DevHub is a developer portal and portfolio directory for discovering, comparing, and contacting developers who choose to publish profiles, as well as inspecting Project Showcases and technical content. Blog, learning, and course content supports discovery; it does not make DevHub a general tutoring, event, course, or community marketplace.
DevHub does not promise that a user will be hired, find a candidate, receive work, complete a successful project, or achieve a business result.
3. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate account details and use only login methods you are authorized to control.
- Protect passwords, email access, and connected social accounts, and report unauthorized access.
- A general user does not have to create a DeveloperProfile; public developer onboarding is separate and may require review.
- Sensitive actions may require a verified email or recent ownership proof.
- Do not sell, transfer, rent, or use another person's account without authorization.
4. Profiles, projects, comments, votes, and content rights
You retain ownership of content you create and represent that you may submit its text, images, code, links, marks, and third-party information. By submitting it, you provide DevHub a non-exclusive permission limited to storing, backing up, formatting, moderating, displaying, and distributing it within the service and previews of the page where it appears. The precise license language requires legal review.
A Project Showcase must describe work you are entitled to share. Comments must be relevant and professional. Votes must represent a real account action; self-voting, multi-account voting, and manipulation intended to distort discovery are prohibited.
5. Contact and independent user agreements
DevHub helps people discover and contact one another but is not an employer, recruitment agent, broker, payment processor, guarantor, or party to an independent agreement between a developer, client, employer, learner, or organization unless a separate signed agreement expressly says otherwise.
The parties must independently check identity, skills, scope, compensation, tax, law, intellectual property, confidentiality, payment, and delivery. DevHub does not guarantee hiring or project outcomes.
6. Partners and sponsored content
Paid placements must be clearly labeled, use appropriate link attributes, and remain separate from organic ranking. Payment cannot buy a developer quality score or organic position. Editorial reviewers retain control over accuracy, relevance, disclosure, and safety.
A campaign must have an agreed period, scope, and measurement method. Reports should not expose PII or low-sample-size data, and must not claim traffic, conversion, performance, or outcomes without a verified source and date range.
7. Prohibited activity
- Illegal, deceptive, harassing, hateful, rights-infringing, copyright-infringing, or confidential content.
- Malware, phishing, credential theft, spam, or attempts to bypass security and rate limits.
- False claims about skills, work, employment, organizational affiliation, votes, availability, or services.
- Scraping or automation that violates rights, privacy, the robots policy, or platform stability.
- Collecting or reusing developer details for bulk marketing without an appropriate basis and permission.
8. Review, suspension, and termination
DevHub may approve, reject, request changes to, hide, archive, suspend, or remove profiles, projects, comments, votes, accounts, or partner content when necessary for safety, quality, these terms, or law. Permanent deletion and related-data behavior follow the lifecycle supported by the product.
DevHub may change or discontinue features while considering user data and rights. Questions or requests for review can be submitted through the contact channel.
9. Availability, limitations, and governing law
The service and user-submitted content may be incomplete or interrupted, and external links are controlled by their destination sites. However, warranty limitations, liability, damages, indemnity, governing law, jurisdiction, and dispute procedures must be drafted against the real operator and markets.
Required before final publication: confirm the legal operator, address, governing law and courts, minimum user age, infringement-notice process, content-license scope, and limitation language. These facts must not be invented.
