Problem: independent Thai restaurants need an affordable way to take orders quickly without hiring extra front-of-house staff, while still giving owners real-time visibility into sales and tables.
Role: sole developer, responsible for the full architecture, backend, frontend, and deployment.
Key features: real-time AI voice ordering in Thai over WebSocket streaming, an animated Simli avatar paired with gender-aware TTS (OpenAI / Azure / Botnoi) for a natural front-of-house experience, kitchen and bar monitor displays, table and queue management, delivery integration, and a live business overview dashboard for owners.
Architecture: FastAPI backend with WebSocket channels for low-latency voice streaming, React frontend for dashboard and kiosk views, PostgreSQL for multi-tenant data isolation, deployed on a VPS with Docker and Nginx.
Result: shipped as a live multi-tenant product in 2025 with a public demo, currently the most technically complex project in my portfolio combining real-time voice AI with production restaurant operations.
